Sodium Thiosulfate Pentahydrate (Na₂S₂O₃·5H₂O), also known as sodium thiosulphate or hypo, is a water-soluble inorganic salt supplied in colorless crystals. It is mainly used as a dechlorinating agent in water treatment, a fixing agent in photographic processing, and as a reducing agent in several industrial processes.
