Ammonium sulfate is mainly used as a fertilizer, suitable for various soils and crops, and can also be used in industries such as textiles, leather, and pharmaceuticals.
As an excellent nitrogen fertilizer (formerly known as Feitianfen), it is suitable for general soil and crops, can promote vigorous growth of branches and leaves, improve fruit quality and yield, enhance crop resistance to disasters, and can be used as base fertilizer, topdressing, and seed fertilizer. Can undergo double decomposition reaction with sodium chloride to produce ammonium chloride, react with aluminum sulfate to produce ammonium alum, and together with boric acid, produce refractory materials. Adding it to the plating solution can increase conductivity. It is also a catalyst for food sauce color, a nitrogen source for cultivating yeast in fresh yeast production, an acid dye dyeing aid, a leather de ashing agent, and used in beer brewing, chemical reagents, and battery production. In addition, when mining rare earths, ammonium sulfate is used as the raw material, and the rare earth elements in the ore soil are exchanged through ion exchange. The leachate is then collected, purified, precipitated, pressed, and burned to form the rare earth raw ore.
